4-H Camp

4-H offers many camping opportunities through local day camps as well as state & regional overnight camps. Below is more information about each camping opportunity, for additional information, please call (615) 898-7710.

Junior 4-H Camp

Junior 4-H Camp is open to any child in Rutherford County that is currently enrolled in the 4th, 5th or 6th grade. Camp will be held at Clyde M. York 4-H Center in Crossville. Dates: June 28-July 2, 2021  

Cost:  $325 ($300 online with payment options AND $25 by check or cash at the Rutherford County Office to receive camp packet and fill out registration form)

Junior 4-H Camp Partial Scholarships Available

There are a limited number of scholarship funds available.  If you wish to request financial assistance, please print the scholarship form below.  The forms must be completed and returned to our office by closing at 4:30pm, April 16. 

All information on the form must be complete for your child to be considered for a partial scholarship.  The recipient(s) of a scholarship will not be exempt from the regular registration procedure.  You will be notified by April 30.

Junior High 4-H Camp

4-H Jr. High Camp is for older youth who have completed grades 6-8. This resident camp offers adventure-type and active-engaged programming with an emphasis on individual development and group dynamics through special interest groups and team challenges. Activities may include fishing, tubing, nature hikes, canoeing, swimming, shooting sports, T-shirt airbrushing, survivor challenges, and more.

Meat Science Day Camp 

What’s Shakin’, Bacon?  Find out at 4-H Meat Science Camp! 

For grades 6th – 9th.  Explore the science of meat production, become a smart consumer!

Academic Conference

Junior High Academic Conference is an educational program on the campus of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Participants receive intensive training in their 4-H project areas under the supervision of university scientists and specialists and explore related career opportunities. The conference provides a variety of rewarding and fun-filled experiences in classroom, outdoor and laboratory settings.    Academic Conference participant are selected via application. Selections are based on 4-H’ers involvement in  4-H project work. Electric Camp

4-H Electric Camp is a fun-filled, rewarding adventure in electricity at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Campers will get to visit Dollywood and at camp, you will learn what electricity is and how it works. You will work with electrical specialists from across the state in learning centers. Each learning center will consist of hands-on activities so that you can learn by doing. You will also have the chance to meet other 4-H’ers from across Tennessee and explore careers in energy, electricity and basic sciences. Each camper will receive a certificate, a T-shirt and items that you have made at camp. It’s really an electrifying experience!
  Electric Camp is open to 4-H’ers that have completed the 6th & 7th grades.

Target Smart Camp

4-H Target Smart Camp develops firearms safety, responsibility and life skills. Campers should have some shooting experience prior to attending camp.  5th – 9th grades.
