What Is 4-H Club?
4-H Club helps young people grow into confident leaders while having fun and making a difference. Members participate in service projects, leadership activities, hands-on learning, and social events throughout the year.
Youth earn points in three areas:
- Service
- Leadership
- Project Work (through a selected 4-H project area)
Students who earn 100 points become eligible to apply for initiation into the Tennessee 4-H Honor Club. Honor Club membership is based on participation and achievement in 4-H and is not related to school grades. Students must be in grades 7-12 to apply for initiation.
Membership Levels
4-H Club Members
Youth in grades 4-5 are considered 4-H Club Members.
4-H Teen Club Members
Youth in grades 6-12 who have not yet been initiated into Honor Club are considered 4-H Teen Club Members.
4-H Honor Club Members
Honor Club members take their 4-H experience to the next level through leadership development, community service, and civic engagement. Members learn about local, state, and national government, explore their communities, and participate in meaningful service projects that help others. They also gain valuable leadership experience, develop lifelong skills, and connect with youth from across Tennessee who share similar interests and goals.

Learning, Service, and Fun!
While leadership and service are important parts of the program, 4-H Club is also about having fun. Members enjoy social activities throughout the year, celebrate successes, work together on projects, and create lasting memories with friends.
Each month, members can look forward to:
- Electing and working with club officers
- Participating in a business meeting
- Completing a community service project
- Exploring and learning more about their chosen project area
- Building friendships with other 4-H members

Community Center Building (Located at the back of the property)
Requirement: A complete current 600a form on file with the Rutherford County Extension office. This form is good for 1 calendar year and needs to be updated at the first of the year.
