This annual event is set for January 31, 2023 at the University of TN Space Institute (UTSI) located at 411 B.H. Goethert Pkwy in Tullahoma. Conference registration is $20 and includes a conference hat and resource thumb drive. You can pre-register by stopping in here at the Extension office between 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Mon-Fri or at the door the day of the conference. Private pesticide applicator recertification will be offered immediately following the conference. You can register for recertification training at the conference.

FREE pesticide pickup for farmers! Ideally pesticides are stored safely on the farm until they are completely used. However, many remain unused because cropping practices change, new products are introduced, some are banned and others deteriorate or lose their label. Such chemicals can pose a threat to human health, livestock, and the environment if not disposed of properly. The TDA offers a FREE on-the-farm pick up service for these pesticides. Mr. Strickland with the TDA commented, “ This is a free, non-regulatory, no questions asked service for our producers”.
