This 1 ½ to 2 hour training equips producers to manage cattle in such a way to improve carcass value when animals are harvested. This training is required by Tennessee Department of Agriculture to apply for Ag Enhancement Funds for cattle programs. Covered topics include cattle handling, cattle behavior, how and where to give shots, suggested needle gauges, etc. Classes are offered periodically throughout the year; please contact Rebekah Norman at renorman@tennessee.edu or 615-898-7710 for additional information.
