Build your gardening skills with our two-part Garden Basics series. Garden Basics 1 takes place in the spring and Garden Basics 2 in the fall. The classes are designed as building blocks—Garden Basics 1 provides a strong foundation for Garden Basics 2—but each course can also be taken on its own.
Garden Basics 1
Garden Basics 1 meets once a week from February 19 to March 12, on Thursdays from 6:30–8:00 PM, at the Community Center in the Lane Agri-Park Complex. Sessions are taught by Master Gardeners and Extension Agents, offering hands-on guidance and practical skills for gardeners of all levels.

Feb. 26th – Seeds and Propagation
March 5th – Raised Beds
March 12th – Best Planting Practices
Cost is $40 a person, for the 4-week class. Class size is limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Garden Basics 2
Garden Basics 2 meets once a week from September 10 to October 8, on Thursdays from 6:00-8:00 PM, at the Community Center in the Lane Agri-Park Complex.
The cost is $50 a person, for the 5-week class.
Applications for Garden Basics 2 will be available sometime in July/August.
